Mini Rex are a miniature version of the larger Rex rabbit. This relatively new breed was accepted by the American rabbit Breeders Association in 1988. The main feature of the Mini Rex is their velvety soft fur. This breed lacks the stiff guard hairs of other breeds resulting in fur that's as soft as a cloud.
The Mini Rex is an adorable breed of rabbit that makes a wonderful companion. They are generally a friendly breed that is moderately active. They are usually quite content to sit in your lap if you're petting them or bounce and play around.
Mini Rex are a "compact" type breed, their bodies are close-coupled and rounded . They have short ears that should balance with a thick face. Another benefit of this breed is the rainbow of colors that they come in.
